Though the resources I’ve listed below are hands-down the best places to get information on authors coming to the Twin Cities, each month I will be individually highlighting ones that have come to my attention through other means or are specifically related to publishing alone, etc. Look for those posts!

Event resources for author readings, book signings, and other publishing-related happenings in the Twin Cities:

RAIN TAXI Review of Books’ Literary Calendar

I love this resource because their events are color coded! “Green:  Fiction • Yellow:  Poetry • Orange:  Nonfiction • Brown:  Lectures/Panels • Purple:  Children/YA • Blue:  Book Clubs • Red:  Multi-Genre Events.” Rain Taxi is such a vital resource and shining light in our literary community. They host events such as the Twin Cities Book Festival, among other amazing places for authors and readers to connect! I encourage you to check them out and also pick up a copy of their review magazine (I know we have them at Magers & Quinn!).

MN Publishing Tweet Up Publishing Events

I love MN Publishing Tweet UP! Each month they host happy hours for book lovers, publishers, and writers at various locations in the metro area. I can attest to the importance of these laid back meetings as a great place to connect and even network with like-minded book enthusiasts in the area. Who can say no to books and drinks?

Magers & Quinn Booksellers Events (Readings & Book Signings)

Shameless plug for where I’ve been helping sell books at since July 2015! I often attend these events as a regular civilian as often as I can. In the past they’ve partnered with Nick Offerman, Helen Macdonald, Joe Hill, and many more.
